The sign brothers
Below is an example of the process I used when creating monument signs during my internship with The Sign Brothers. First pictured is the initial proof, followed by alterations per the client’s desires, and then the actual result. Signs like these forced me to consider how to represent a 3D object with flat graphics and how those graphics would translate into the physical world.
EXTRA SPECIAL PEOPLE, INC.
First pictured are the outside and inside of a revamped trifold brochure, followed by an image of the brochure’s previous design. It was quite a challenge organizing all of the information they wanted to relay, but after developing a system, everything fell into place. The animated heart was created for ESP’s holiday mailer, and the animated “website” was for a silent auction video.
STATE BOTANICAL GARDEN OF GEORGIA
This design was entered into the 2020 State Botanical Garden of Georgia student art competition and won 3rd place. I was inspired by the national park badges and thought it would be nice if the gardens had one, too. For their badge, I chose to represent their most recognizable building: the Greenhouse. All placed works of art are sold on merchandise at the garden and can be used on other promotional material. The mockups here were part of my entry to show how my design might be applied. I have also included my initial idea sketches for reference.
